This international conference is organized as one of the main outputs of “Young Green Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” project, numbered 2023-2-TR01-KA220-YOU-000185426, supported by the Turkish National Agency within the scope of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme KA2.
Background and Rationale
Across the world, entrepreneurship is being redefined by the urgent need for sustainability, inclusion and green transformation. The climate crisis, digital transition, changing labour markets and social inequalities require new forms of business creation that are not only economically viable but also environmentally responsible and socially inclusive.
Young people and women are among the most important actors of this transformation. However, they often face structural barriers such as limited access to finance, insufficient entrepreneurial networks, lack of mentoring, digital skills gaps and unequal opportunities in business ecosystems. At the same time, the rise of artificial intelligence, digital platforms, green finance, smart technologies and circular economy practices creates new opportunities for sustainable ventures.
SEFGEN 2026 responds to these challenges by creating a space where academic knowledge, project experience, policy dialogue and entrepreneurial practice can meet.
Main Aim
The main aim of SEFGEN 2026 is to explore how sustainable entrepreneurship can contribute to future generations through innovation, inclusion, digital transformation and green economic development.
Specific Objectives
The conference aims to:
promote interdisciplinary academic discussion on sustainable and green entrepreneurship;
support young people’s entrepreneurial competencies, employability and future skills;
highlight women’s participation, equal opportunities and inclusive entrepreneurship;
examine the role of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and data-driven tools in green ventures;
discuss circular economy, climate action and local sustainability practices;
strengthen cooperation among universities, municipalities, NGOs, chambers, technoparks and entrepreneurship ecosystems;
share good practices from Erasmus+ and other international projects;
encourage networking among researchers, practitioners, policy makers and young entrepreneurs.
